With a Master of Science in Business Informatics and dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Information Science from Utrecht University, Marco's education spans technical depth and business understanding. His international exchange programs at The University of Western Australia and Universitat Politècnica de València enriched his global perspective on technology and business.

Throughout his career, Marco has specialized in modernizing legacy systems and building scalable enterprise solutions. His expertise includes orchestrating complex PHP upgrades (from PHP 5.3 to 7+), migrating version control systems from TFVC to Git, and overhauling CI/CD pipelines to transform legacy infrastructure into modern cloud-native platforms.

At Polymath Works, Marco's hands-on expertise spans the full stack: from integrating SAP, Visma, and AFAS ERP systems to building payment flows with Mollie and Adyen, implementing marketing APIs across 7+ affiliate networks, and architecting cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
