Senior Front-end developer (Vue.Js)

About the role

ASICS Technologies is expanding the digital platform behind its B2B business: the systems that wholesale partners, retailers and internal commercial teams use every day to order, plan and manage assortments worldwide. We are looking for an experienced Senior Front-end Developer with deep Vue.js expertise to take ownership of the user-facing side of these business-critical applications.

This is a fully remote role based in the Philippines. You will be part of a globally distributed team, working closely with colleagues in Australia, with additional stakeholders in Europe. The Philippine time zone gives you a strong daily overlap with the Australian team. Communication is a core part of this role and weighs as heavily as technical skill. Professional-level English, both written and spoken, is a hard requirement: you will run calls with international stakeholders, document decisions, write clear updates and align across time zones on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust Vue.js applications for B2B users
• Work daily with team members in Australia and stakeholders in Europe, coordinating across time zones and keeping work asynchronous where possible
• Translate complex commercial and logistical business logic into clear, usable interfaces
• Collaborate closely with backend (Laravel) engineers on API design and contracts
• Contribute to and help evolve a shared component library and design system
• Safeguard front-end performance, accessibility and cross-browser quality
• Communicate clearly and proactively in English with global stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
• Participate in global support (not 24/7, but ownership and responsibility are expected)

• Frontend: Vue.js 2 upgrading to 3
• Styling: Modern CSS, component library / design system driven
• Backend (context): Laravel, REST APIs
• Database: MySQL
• Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes (k8s)
• Environment: Cloud-based, CI/CD, scalable architectures

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with Vue.js, ideally Vue 2 and 3 and the Composition API
• Strong command of JavaScript and modern CSS and component architecture
• Solid understanding of REST API consumption and state management at scale
• Comfortable working alongside a Laravel backend; hands-on PHP experience is a plus
• Experience with front-end testing
• Experience with build tooling, CI/CD pipelines and front-end performance optimisation
• Based in the Philippines with a reliable home working setup and internet connection
• Proven experience working in a distributed, international team across multiple time zones
• Availability during Australian business hours, with flexibility for occasional calls with European stakeholders
• Professional-level English, written and spoken, at a level that allows you to lead calls, write documentation and discuss complex topics with confidence
• Strong communication skills are essential and weigh as heavily as technical ability in this role
• Ability to explain technical challenges clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive, reliable and ownership-driven mindset
